Hey I was bored one day and I decided to google my name and came across this site. Oh my wow I was shocked to learn that there are so many other Marlises in the world. I have never met another Marlise ever. Both my grandmother and my mom are named Marisol so me being the first born was supposed to also be named Marisol. Well while my mom was pregnant she used to always watch a show called Press Your Luck ( with the Wammies) and there was a contestant on the show named Marlise. My mom insantly fell in love with the name. Needless to say Marlise won the show and I became also Marlise. Over the years I have enjoyed the many different spellings and ways my name has been said. Its cool to know that my name has its own website. I hope one day I can have the pleasure of actually meeting the Marlise that I was so blessed to be named after.

My mom heard the name one week before my birth. It was a French woman in the hospital room with a relative and my mom liked the name so much that when I was born, I was obviously given the name. I have only met one other person in my lifetime that has the same name. Now, on this site, I see that there are so very many more with the name.
So there it is.
Whew! That's the end of the old Marlise Club Guest book, since the host is discontinuing home pages on March 31, 2008. It was a bear to edit out all those crank comments, but lots of fun.
